Where are we in this despondent world?
Lost?
Dejected?
Discouraged?
Forlorn?
How long have we been this way?
A week?
A month?
A year?
Forever?
The grounds are red with the blood of those who are victims to this doleful macrocosm.
The skies are black with the pollution of our egocentric behavior.
People lose their lives to our narcissistic selves.
Why?
Why must we live on this wretched planet, scowled by all those above us?
How long must we endure this plaintive life, lost and insecure in so many ways?
What have we done to deserve such a lugubrious life in the first place?
Spiritless,
Morose,
Downcast,
Disconsolate and destroyed we fall into the deep ocean of lies, greed, dejection, rejection, and drugs.
We drown in our troubles and bleed the black gash of burden.
The animals weep bitterly for us, inside happy they aren’t like us.
They don’t have to share our desolate pain.
Hopeless,
Downhearted,
Shattered,
Kneeling and weeping we cry out “Save us!”
But does no one hear?
Lost.
Dejected.
Discouraged.
Forlorn.
That is exactly where we are in this despondent world.
